Unfortunately Google Maps doesn’t show much when you type in our postcode (LL40 1TH), so we have hand drawn two maps below to help you, if you prefer to use a SatNav we have found that they are very accurate and will take you exactly to our private road (a right hand turn off the Cader Road when coming from Dolgellau).
FROM A470 (WELSHPOOL TO BARMOUTH ROAD):
Approaching Dolgellau on the A470 heading west, there is a steep downhill stretch where you will pass an Esso petrol station and a Little Chef on the right hand side.
Travel a further quarter of a mile, then take the road on the left (signposted Dolgellau).
Follow this road into the centre of Dolgellau.
Proceed across the top of Eldon Square (town square).
Continue west for approximately half a mile (road signposted to Tywyn) then take the left turn onto Cader Road (signposted Cader Idris).
Travel uphill for approximately half a mile, then take the right fork (signs: Tal y Waen Cottages, Graig and Tyn Llwyn).
Keep on this road for approximately 1 mile.
Cross the cattle grid and continue for a further quarter of a mile before reaching Tal y Waen at the bend in the road on the apex of the hill.
Our house is high above the road on the left and the cottages are on the right.
